annual toy giveaway events
Each December, eta partners with local community organizations to host holiday toy drives, bringing joy and support to families in need. In addition to toys, these events often provide children's clothing, household essentials, and an afternoon filled with entertainment and refreshments. It's a festive celebration that not only brightens the holidays for many but also strengthens the bonds within the community.

jazz and champagne
Music has always been central to the African American experience in the United States. In the face of racism, discrimination, and segregation, African Americans found comfort, resilience, and a sense of peace through their music. Jazz, in particular, became a powerful voice for the community—a voice that continues to inspire and uplift to this day.
At eta, we are proud to help keep the spirit of Jazz alive in our community. Join us every 3rd Monday of the month for Jazz & Champagne, a relaxing evening of cocktails, refreshments, and live performances by talented Jazz artists. It's the perfect way to unwind while celebrating a rich cultural tradition that remains as vibrant as ever.

At eta, we’re excited to offer an exclusive stepping experience with professional instructor Marcus Thompson, who has been stepping since the age of 16. From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Marcus will lead a free stepping lesson open to all skill levels. Afterward, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., you’ll have the chance to showcase your new moves or just enjoy an evening of stepping with fellow participants. reggae night
Reggae music, born in Jamaica in the late 1960s, is far more than just a genre—it’s a cultural force. With its signature offbeat rhythms, deep basslines, and socially conscious lyrics, reggae emerged from earlier Jamaican styles like ska and rocksteady, blending influences from rhythm and blues (R&B), jazz, and Caribbean music traditions. But reggae's impact extends beyond its sound—it has become a powerful voice for resistance, peace, and unity across the globe, inspiring generations with its call for social change and cultural pride.
